Celebrate Love
February turns our attention to love. Yet love is not confined to a single day, a single person, or a single expression. It is the quiet current flowing beneath all of life. Love changes and evolves. It transforms lives and world.
Love is the breath within the breath, it is presence, awareness, the softening of the heart. It is peace, compassion, and understanding.
Feeling Broken and Uncertain?
Are the disruption and uncertainty of current events affecting your well-being? I am concerned every time I turn on the news and discover new deaths at the hands of government agents, violence erupting around the world, and threats of additional military force being broadcast regularly. “What is the world coming to?” A common cry throughout the ages when transformation is in process.
Best Wishes for the Holidays 2025
I asked the ancestors how I could best support you this season. They told me to focus on the positive. Therefore, I am sending you my best wishes for this holiday season and for the year to come.
I wish for you:
Good health and well-being.
Beneficial relationships with family, friends, and colleagues….
September: A Gentle Shift into the Season of Change
As the leaves begin their slow transformation, it’s a reminder that change, though inevitable, can be beautiful — and necessary. Whether you’re gathering in your own “harvest” from months past or simply enjoying the early signs of fall, this time invites reflection, grounding, and slowing down.
Enjoy the Delights of Summer
June brings a variety of special days: the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere/the Winter Solstice in the southern hemisphere; Midsummer Day or in olden times–quarter day, and Father’s Day, a worldwide celebration of fathers. Father’s Day is June 15th this year. Summer Solstice is June 20th.
Mother’s Day: Honoring Our Roots, Healing Our Wound
Our mothers are our first nurturers, shaping our earliest experiences of love and belonging Yet, for many, this relationship is complex, marked by wounds that echo through generations. We may consider our mother our best friend or worst enemy. However you currently feel about your mother, she had a immense effect on you.
Mindful Spring: Engaging the Senses for Happiness
As spring emerges, it brings a beautiful contrast to the lingering darkness of winter. Even though there may be chaos and disruption in the world, spring reminds us hope comes with change. The days grow warmer and longer, inviting us to step outside and engage with the vibrant world around us. This season of growth reminds us to cultivate mindfulness in our daily lives.
Holiday Joy–5 Tips
Winter is the time for introspection and reflection. The activity of the harvest is over and it’s time to rest. However, in the modern world, holidays are often frantic and stressful. If we can focus on the things that bring us joy, holidays can be fun as we make time for family and friends. Here are a few tips that you probably have heard before but are always good to keep in mind during this time of the year.
Fall and Challenges
Fall is here in the Northern hemisphere and the bright colors, cooler days, and abundant harvest bring joy to our hearts and spirits. In the Southern hemisphere spring is approaching with warmer days and buds emerging from their winter sleep. Sink into the beauty around you as the seasons change.
The instability and upheaval in the world are reflections of our emotional and spiritual health. We feed the distress when fear, anger, hatred, and depression overwhelm us and influence our behavior, attitudes, and speech.
Embrace the Change of Spring and Transform
Spring continues to flow in the Northern hemisphere while the Southern moves into autumn. With every change of season, Mother Nature shifts her energy, and our bodies respond.
Every season gradually changes from one to the next. So too, do we experience physical, emotional, and mental change as the seasons shift.
Emerging from Winter Blues into Spring Sunshine
‘Winter blues’ is a common expression because of the depression sometimes associated with reduced light known as Seasonal Affect Disorder (SAD). The lower level of natural sunlight can cause the reduction in serotonin levels, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood; changes in melatonin; and disruptions in the body’s circadian rhythms which regulate sleep and mood.
Trust
The true basis for trust lies in the Divine (Creator, Source, Spirit, God, All That Is). Often, we were told or shown the world is dangerous, insecure, and hostile. Western culture adopted the 19th-century Darwinian notion of survival of the fittest based on the theory that everything in nature is in competition for resources and only the strongest and most adaptable prevail.
