February turns our attention to love. Yet love is not confined to a single day, a single person, or a single expression. It is the quiet current flowing beneath all of life. Love changes and evolves. It transforms lives and world.
Love is the breath within the breath, it is presence, awareness, the softening of the heart. It is peace, compassion, and understanding.
We come into this earthly life to experience love in many forms—through family, friendship, partnership, community, and even the silent companionship of a beloved animal. Each connection invites us to open more fully, to trust more deeply, to forgive more freely.
Love is also found in stillness.
In the hush of a forest.
In the glow of a setting sun.
In the vastness of sky and mountain.
When we pause, we feel it—an undercurrent of belonging, a remembrance that we are not separate from life, but part of its great unfolding.
Romantic love is sacred, yet it is only one expression of the Divine energy that moves through all things. Love lives in gratitude. In compassion. In simple presence.
When we bring awareness to love, it expands. When we give thanks, it multiplies. When we dwell in it, we become it.
You are worth loving or you wouldn’t be here. You are a Divine child of the Universe, and this day is a gift from Spirit to you so celebrate yourself. Make a vow to speak only positively whenever you can on this day.
Be sure to love those you feel less kindly toward also—send a blessing to that difficult boss, challenging coworker, the obnoxious neighbor who plays loud music. They are all here for us to learn to expand love. Sometimes these challenging people spur us on to change our lives for the better.
I give thanks in my daily meditation for the love of family, friends, and clients. I acknowledge the love and companionship of my cat, neighbors, and community. I send my gratitude to Mother Earth for her beauty, bounty, and blessings. I celebrate the happiness in my life. The more I focus on love; the more love pours into my life.
This month, let love be your meditation. Notice it. Honor it. Appreciate it.
And watch how gently, faithfully, it returns. Love the world and it will transform. I send you all love.
