Are the disruption and uncertainty of current events affecting your well-being? I am concerned every time I turn on the news and discover new deaths at the hands of government agents, violence erupting around the world, and threats of additional military force being broadcast regularly. “What is the world coming to?” A common cry throughout the ages when transformation is in process.

Several complex and pressing issues in today’s world are affecting our well-being and security. Political instability, violence, and aggressive foreign policies have created a sense of vulnerability and anxiety for many people. Commentators note the actions of governments and leaders often reflect underlying socio-economic issues, historical grievances, and power dynamics that have persisted or evolved over time. Our ancestors lived through similar chaotic times in many places and cultures and survived. They can give us hope and support in moving through disruptions.

The perception of imperialism in contemporary politics is leading to widespread discontent and fear of further conflict, as people become worried of losing their rights and communities become divided. The Russian invasion of Ukraine, the conflict between Hammas and Israel in Gaza, the US employment of military force in Venezuela and Nigeria, and the proposed takeover of Greenland were unthinkable just a decade ago. Support for such leaders often stems from a combination of nationalist sentiment, economic desperation, and misinformation, which obscures the broader consequences of their actions.

How do we counter such forces? Engaging in open dialogue, advocating for transparency, and fostering a culture of empathy may help counterbalance the trends we are concerned about. Unconditional love and compassion help us maintain peace within. Misa Hopkins’ The Holding Guided Meditation has supported thousands in finding peace in the stillness of the Divine Feminine energy. World peace begins with personal inner peace. We can affect our reality. In a notable experiment in 1993 a group of experienced meditators came together for 2 months to reduce crime in Washington DC for 2 months. Verified by an independent board, crime was reduced by 23% during the conference and arose again when the meditation ceased. http://lifeintherightdirection.com/meditation-reduces-crime/.

Lynne McTaggart has spent decades exploring how our minds can influence physical reality through focused visualization and intention. Her Intention Experiments®, a worldwide global laboratory testing the power of group intention, Lynne has brought proven science to transformational spirituality. Her experiments have proven that groups of individuals can influence health, growth, and peace. See, https://lynnemctaggart.com/ for more information.

My work with the ancestors is based on epigenetic theories of affecting our underlying genomes with the help of our ancestors in turning off the family patterns and past life karma that promote abuse, violence and narcissism. Science has caught up with indigenous wisdom that has shown us how to survive in times of chaos and transition. See my book, Changing Our Genetic Heritage for a complete discussion of the science behind ancestral healing. https://ancestrallineageclearing.com/changing-our-genetic-heritage/

Active participation—whether through voting, community organizing, or advocacy—can help safeguard rights and promote accountability. Acting reduces our sense of helplessness and fear. We can affect outcomes when we join together for a common cause.

Moreover, fostering a culture of compassion and awareness can inspire collective action. When we stand together against injustices, we can create ripples of change, holding leaders accountable and pushing for a society that values human rights and dignity.

Remember: Peace begins within. We can affect our reality.
