As May arrives in full bloom, Mother’s Day arrives with it.
Whether your mother was wonderful or deeply imperfect, she was your first experience of being mothered. At her side, we take in our earliest lessons about life, love, and connection. In those formative years, we are guided, nurtured, and shaped by the care we receive—and by the relationships we witness.
This Mother’s Day, honor her in whatever way feels meaningful: with a card, flowers, a gift, or most of all, your presence. Visit if you can. Call if you can’t.
And remember to honor the other women who have carried nurturing mother energy in your life—grandmothers, aunts, teachers, assistants, caregivers, doctors, and even the women who offered kindness when it was needed most.
Honor the mother energy within yourself, too. Whether you are a woman or a man, that nurturing force lives in all of us—in how we care for our children, tend to our inner child, love our pets, support our friends, and protect the dreams still growing within us.
So, when Mother’s Day arrives, honor all the mothers in your life—including the one within.
